Fair value from the start

Some storage companies advertise 50% off the first month.

That can look attractive at first, and for a very short stay it may well save money.

But if you expect to stay for longer, it is often better to look at the total cost over the full time you need the unit, not just the first 4 weeks.

Why?

A 50% first-month offer usually works out the same as giving you 2 free weeks.

After that, the normal full price usually returns.

So the longer you stay, the less valuable that early discount becomes.

A simple way to think about it

If one company offers a short-term discount, but another has a lower steady weekly price, the lower steady price can become the better value over time.

That crossover point depends on the size of the unit and how close the weekly prices are.

Real examples

125 sq ft example

Another company: £74.56 per week with 50% off the first 4 weeks
Our price: £65 per week from the start

In this case, our steady price becomes the better value from about week 16.

So if you are likely to stay for around 4 months or more, the lower regular price becomes more important than the first-month discount.

150 sq ft example

Another company: £91.13 per week with 50% off the first 4 weeks
Our price: £76 per week from the start

Here, our price becomes the better value from about week 13.

So for a customer needing storage beyond roughly 3 months, the lower regular price works out better overall.

What this means

If you only need storage for a very short stay, a first-month offer may suit you.

But if you think you may need storage for several months or longer, a fair steady weekly price can often be better value.

That is why we prefer to keep our pricing:

  • Clear
  • Simple
  • Fair from the start
  • Better suited to longer stays
The best question to ask

When comparing storage prices, ask:

“What will I actually pay over 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months?”

That usually gives a much clearer picture than looking only at the first month.

Our approach

We believe in straightforward pricing that is easy to understand from day one.

No complicated teaser pricing.
 No surprises later.
Just fair value from the start.
